In Norway summers are short and intense, so hot and sunny weather really invites to outdoor activities. -Like when a friend on short notice invited to 'coffee & trains' (...and waffles) in his garden today.
I brought both my German Heeresfeldbahn...
...and British W^D trains
My other friends brought their new acquisitions and somewhat more colorful trains:
Today's last train on the timetable with a 'load' for the hostWhen coming home and placing my trains away, I could tell that my youngest son had 'played' with my Winter Pizza:
Looks like there will be time for some workbench-projects tonight as well...
I am sure coffee with a friend would have been enough motivation - but trains and waffles? That's one of those things where you pull up to their house before they put their phone down.
ReplyDeletePlease tell us that the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is a permanent fixture now!
Our get-togheters are really social events, and members even show up not bringing trains every time either. -And waffles+coffee are usually only 'light refreshments'. Usually something 'seasonal' are served depending of time of year. During summer usually some bbq.
DeleteIf you ask my wife or son, Mr Stay Puft is fixed.....
-For now. I think my son will use him in another miniature mayhem...
-But the grey spruce next to him may become a permanent fixture, as I've tried to 3D-print threes which has a standard good enough for using on a layout. It's actually a 'wargaming terrain piece' but for this layout it will be partially covered in snow.
Thank you for reading and commenting John!
A splendid day , by the sound of it, on all fronts.
