This Tuesday Heine suggested that we held our weekly Model Railway Club meeting in his garden insted as the weather was really warm and beautiful. Instead of the 'club kiosk' we could have a BBQ and his wife, Astrid had made a 'billion waffles'.... - It was just to get ready for another (great) day out:
It looks like Tyra think it was a little too hot this day...
I brought my German Military Heeresfeldbahn largely made up by rollingstock by LGB. It was running a 'motor transport' this day, which is probably not very prototypic for this narrow gauge.
The shortest train of the day
On this photo there is not "a billion waffles" left anymore... -Thank you Astrid!!
While running trains in Heine's and Astrid's garden, another invitation to another Garden Railway running session only 2 days later was posted on Facebook by fellow railway Modeller Thomas. Thomas is the Director General ofPletten Railway, which is located at his cottage and was officially opened last year. Just about time to charge the batteries for my battery operated Heeresfeldbahn diesel, and go to the grocery to buy some more to put on the grill...
Here are some impressions of our day out at Pletten Railway yesterday:
